‘Disappointed’ is the word that best describes how I felt once the Transfer Market had closed its shutters. Not because I don’t rate the players that have been brought in, because I do, but because I feel that we were just two first choice players short of an excellent First XI and another three back-up players short of a terrific squad.

After two games and two defeats you would expect me to be rather disappointed with the performances of Spurs so far and in a way I am. It would have been nice to be sitting here a few days before we travel to Stamford Bridge with the safety net of already having bagged six points but there is no point in dwelling on what could have been.
