Just after I had rather foolishly volunteered to write this report, as is customary, out came the pen and paper so I could jot down the times of the various incidents and the players involved, fearing I might forget them if I relied on my increasingly fragile memory and trying to ensure an impartial reflection of the events as they unfolded.

Less than two weeks after Liverpool last visited White Hart Lane the Reds return with revenge on their mind. Still smarting after a last minute Pavlyuchenko goal gave Spurs a 2-1 win and all three points in the league meeting on the 12th of November, Liverpool will be anxious to avoid what will be only their second defeat of the season.
